WHUFC will sign one marquee signing (striker?) and the rest loans and freebies.
According to C&H (been said the clubs mouthpiece?)

c&p
West Ham could see up to seven first team players leave the London Stadium over the summer.

Seven possible outbound first team players this summer are:

Jonathan Calleri, Álvaro Arbeloa and Gokhan Tore all out of contract in June and they could be joined by up four more including Darren Randolph, Havard Nordtveit, Sofiane Feghouli and even Andy Carroll.

In a like for like replacements the club’s summer targets – if the papers are to be believed – could include:

Golakeeper Jordan Pickford, Man City’s Pablo Zabaleta as our new first choice right back, Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson, Arsenal’s Jack Wilshire and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to join our midfield with Michy Batshuayi and Daniel Sturridge as strikers to replace Carroll and Calleri.

The only problem is that the owners will have to dig extremely deep to afford these merry bunch of ‘quality’ inbound players.

Although Zabaleta is available on a free transfer, Pickford is valued at £20m by relegated Sunderland, Swansea wants £25m for Sigurdsson, Arsenal wants a combined £65m for their duo Wilshere and Oxlade-Chamberlain. Chelsaa will want to recoup their £33m they paid for Batshuayi while Liverpool will ask for £25m for Sturridge.

At a combined valuation of £168m maybe we need to set our sights a little bit lower.

Free transfers, loans with one marquee signing might be a bit more realistic.

Sturridge and wilshere at West Ham, what could possibly go wrong.

I assume those figures mean the valuation for Oxlade-Chamberlain is 64 million?

Re: WHUFC will sign one marquee signing (striker?) and the rest loans and freebies.
I genuinely can't understand why we haven't got an obvious gameplan for transfers.

To me, and I'm clearly no expert, it seems pretty straightforward to identify the glaring areas of weakness and just buy the BEST player to fill that void.

So yes, pay Swansea for Sigurdsson, pay Sunderland for Pickford (I do quite like him from what I've seen) and I would even take Oxlade-Chamberlain and Batshuayi, and if they cost those figures, just bloody pay it.

Don't fuck around, put a bid in, get them in, move on to the next target.

And tell NOBODY that you're doing it.

Jonah, no doubt Wenger will put a ridiculous price on the Ox if he's sold, probably £30m. at that price I think it would be better looking at cheaper foreign talent in the German, French & Dutch leagues. I know Liverpool like him too so may outbid us anyway and the cunts will be in the CL. it's all a bit depressing really

Re: WHUFC will sign one marquee signing (striker?) and the rest loans and freebies.
It would be better looking for cheaper foreign talent than nearly all of those listed, and I've no doubt that talent is out there.

I just don't have any faith in the club a) finding it, b) keeping quiet about finding it and c) actually buying it.

Transfer rumours are as reliable as Harry Redknapps tax returns.

So you made it all up then?

Remind me Riddle, was it you that was hugely impressed with Josh Cullen's display against Liverpool??

We will not sign any of those players, but at least it sounds like we are in the big time if we are linked

Under the fragrant Baroness it's all about filling the London Stadium, surviving in the premiership while spending as little as possible

Those in control of the finances haven't the slightest interest in building a "great" team or winning a cup it's all about the bottom line

Cullen only came on for a couple of minutes, but showed some excellent touches considering he was on for such a short time. Will have a good career ahead of him imho.

Remember what I said about having the last word.

He had precisely one touch, and was on the field for about 30 seconds, as was pointed out to you by another poster. Remember what I said about thinking before you post and show yourself up for being the know nothing bellend that you are?
